Timing

So many times I have wondered the "what ifs" in life and how just a few seconds or nano seconds can change our life.
Friday was such that day. A normal day, well it was a rainy, misty, foggy day but a normal day nonetheless. I set out to my chiropractors office, finally broke down to do it, and got rear ended. Yay me. So I called them to let them know I'm running late and now I really need to see him. While waiting on the officers to get our information together, I get the call no parent wants - my daughter had been in an accident. She was beside herself. It could have been so much worse than it was. Yes, the car is totalled, but she walked away without a scratch. Banged up, bruised, and shook up - but OK.
Back to the "what ifs" and timing - if that truck had been a second sooner, a little faster, she could have been hurt pretty bad. It could have spun her into traffic. The details of why she was even at the intersection are crazy - she wasn't supposed to be there, she forgot what she was doing and turned the wrong way out of habit.
You know, were down to one vehicle right now, but I have yet to worry about it. God has always taken care of us and he isn't going to stop now. I am just so thankful my daughter wasn't hurt that I don't care about the fact we only have one car. Yes, I know soon its going to get on my nerves and be a pain in my rear but right now, I'm OK with it. God has always provided - above and beyond what we expected.
My life has been nothing more than walking by faith. Even growing up, I know my parents did this. They were awesome examples of this. I hope my kids see in us that with faith, all things are possible. Without faith is impossible to please God - WOW . . .
That is my biggest question to those who do not have God, how do they survive? I know I couldn't. I know He is going to meet my every need. Do they leave it to chance, luck, I don't know. I don't want to know.
Jehovah Jireh - the name of God I have claimed so many times - God has gone before and seen my need and made a way to meet that need.
And I breathe a sigh of relief. Hes already met my need, I just gotta get there.
